Features & Benefits of the SafetyNET® Guidewire Introducer
When Outcomes Matter.
Total tip containment.
No Exposure Time.
SafetyNET®
The SafetyNET® Guidewire Introducer was designed with Clinicians for Clinicians. Our multi-patented NO EXPOSURE TIME™, OSHA-compliant safety-engineered needle is designed to provide “familiarity of feel,” and unparalleled control and protection. Our new iECHO® feature surrounds the distal end of the needle tip, giving you the ability to precisely locate the needle tip itself in the vessel void. Our iSHARP™ needle tip is designed to provide superior sharpness for navigating through tough scar tissue and endolumenal calcification. The Clinician-designed Access Control™ grip is specifically designed to provide improved control
when the needle has to navigate through tough scar tissue or heterogeneous tissue.
The SafetyNET® is activated by a single hand, allowing the non-dominant hand to stabilize the guidewire and control patient bleeding. Once the safety feature is activated, blood in the sharp needle tip is contained within the Safety Guard as it instantly captures the needle tip while the needle is on the guidewire, protecting caregivers and their patients. All while simultaneously providing the “familiarity of feel” Clinician’s rely on for successful vascular access.
SafetyNET® Features and Benefits
Allows access with no change in technique
Echogenic tip located at the distal end of the needle
Modified “B” bevel lancet provides a superior cutting edge to create a preferred V-tricuspid incision
Designed to be activated with a single hand
Stabilize the guidewire and control bleeding with your free hand
Brightly colored housing / hub interface with opposing ribs provides improved control while making it easy to locate the activated device on the tray during clean up
Two bevel-up indicators, one is a notch on the clear hub and three raised chevrons on top of the Hi-Viz™ Housing
Patented multi-featured safety guard is designed to:
Instantly shield sharp needle tip
Trap residual blood in Safety Guard
Protect caregivers from cross contamination
Stop on the annular radial bulge on the needle shaft
Sharpness, Control, Placement and Safety are paramount when accessing a vessel.
Sharpness:
The Company’s iSHARP™ bevel geometry improves the clinician’s ability to navigate through scar tissue and endoluminal calcification, shortening access time. A clean entry translates to a shortened procedure, quicker closure time, reduced probability of post-op bleeding and faster ambulation.
Placement:
The Company’s iECHO® needle allows pinpoint accuracy of the needle under ultrasound guidance as shown in the photo here, allowing the clinician to precisely place the needle in a void in calcified vessels.
Safety:
The Safety Guard is stopped at the end of the needle by the annular radial bulge formed on the needle shaft using the Company’s proprietary compression manufacturing process.
Control:
The Company’s Access Control™ grip provides unmatched control when the needle has to navigate through tough scar tissue or heterogeneous tissue.
Bevel Orientation:
In addition to the small notch on the clear hub, the three raised chevrons indicate bevel-up orientation.
