WHERE YOUR LIFE, YOUR PATIENT OUTCOMES AND SAFETY MATTER ℠
Every detail of the SafetyNET® Guidewire Introducer has been thought through to meet the clinicians’ need for sharpness, tip-visibility, device control and safety.
This effort is dedicated to a friend and Surgeon I knew who taught at a University Medical Center in California. He developed liver disease from a needlestick injury and died of liver cancer.
His premature death has been a motivator to understand the needs of the clinician and effect change by developing a safety endovascular needle that greatly reduces the probability of a needlestick injury.

Introducing the SafetyNET® Guidewire Introducer
A New Safety Endovascular Needle
now available in our THINLINE® Kits
How it Works
No change in technique needed to access the vessel and advance the guidewire.
Stabilize the guidewire and control bleeding with the non-dominant hand as the needle is withdrawn from patient and hold the needle in place a short distance from the patient on the guidewire.
Re-position the fingers of the hand controlling the needle to the distal end of the colored HI-VIZ™ housing and concentrically squeeze it to activate the safety guard. The spring-powered safety guard moves to the distal end of the needle covering the tip and is now positioned to automatically capture the needle tip as the needle is removed from the guidewire.
Echogenic Needle: iECHO® Technology extends to the distal end of the needle tip, providing superior visualization, allowing pinpoint tip placement in a vessel void during ultrasound-guided insertion.
NET: “No Exposure Time™” Design: safety guard is deployable with the needle on the guidewire, so the needle tip is covered when it is removed from the guidewire.
“iSharp™” Needle Point Bevel Design: delivers consistent, ease of insertion for vascular access.
Access Control™ grip provides unmatched control whether inserting or withdrawing the needle.
The Hi-Viz housing helps to visually locate the activated needle on the tray during clean up.
POSITIVE OUTCOMES BEGIN WITH ACCESS.
The SafetyNET® gives you the ability to access the target vessel by:
Visualizing the very tip of the needle in tissue for pinpoint placement in the vessel void with our iECHO® Needle;
Establishing and maintaining bevel-up orientation by sensing the raised chevrons on top of the HI-VIZ™ Housing;
Guiding the needle through heterogenous and scar tissue with the Access Control™ grip;
Creating the preferred V-tricuspid incision at the top of the vessel with the "modified B" iSHARP™ bevel, facilitating a uniform dilation and complication free-closure;
One-hand activation of the safety guard while the device is positioned on the guidewire captures blood inside the containment sleeve with NO EXPOSURE TIME™ to the contaminated tip;
Safely identifying the contaminated sharp during clean up by the neon colored HI-VIZ™ Housing.
Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act and OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard Compliant
The OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1910.1030
requires institutions establish an Exposure Control Plan to
1910.1030(c)(1)(iv)(B) Document annually consideration and implementation of appropriate commercially available and effective safer medical devices designed to eliminate or minimize occupational exposure.
